This unit provides a systematic overview of key areas in cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Topics covered in the lectures include attention; memory; visual perception and object recognition; language representation and processing reasoning and decision making; and implicit cognition. Fortnightly laboratory classes involve discussion of research papers and practical demonstrations of key experimental concepts and methodologies employed in cognitive psychology.
