Digital Object Identifier application

Victoria University research staff can apply to get a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for data sets and grey literature from the University Library. Grey literature includes material such as technical reports, working papers, and research reports.

Please note that this service is available for VU research staff only. The library does not mint DOIs for journal articles, books, conference papers, etc., because this is done by publishers.

A descriptive name for the resource.
The full name of the author or producer of the resource. If there are multiple creators, please list the names in the order they are displayed on the document, separated by a comma.
The name of the person or organisation who holds, publishes, prints and distributes the resource.
The year in which the resource was (or will be) made available.
