A head-start in event management
I believe VU leads the way in hospitality, event and tourism management. What makes VU stand out for me is the industry work experience. VU students study the theory and then have the opportunity to work in the industry.

Bachelor of Business (Tourism Management)
VU Alumna, Brooke Doughty, is today a Senior Sales Manager at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. She finds her fellow VU graduate colleagues to be just as driven and passionate as she is about succeeding in the tourism and events industry.
"I believe VU leads the way in hospitality, event and tourism management. What makes VU stand out for me is the industry work experience. The event industry is all about relationships and networking as well as having the necessary business skills. VU students study the theory and then have the opportunity to work in the industry which definitely allows them to realise their full potential.
I studied a Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management. The reason I chose the course was due to the 12 months industry experience which was included. I had the opportunity to study and work in the industry which certainly assisted in my career development. The lecturers at VU were up to date with industry knowledge and the course subjects where relevant.
The MCEC has a few employees that have studied at VU which is fantastic. They are passionate and driven people whilst being hard working. Some of my best friends are from my time at Victoria University and I still work with some of them today in the industry!"
