Foundations of Social Science Research

This unit introduces students to the concepts, processes and practices of social science research. Theoretical content will build understanding of key concepts and terms in social research, and practical engagement in workshops supports the development of skills and understanding in social research processes and practices. Workshop activities in academic reading, writing and research skills will prepare students for assessments in this and other units, and assessment tasks have been designed to progressively develop and test growing skills, knowledge and comprehension.
