Overview

Students will analyse modern project management frameworks and their application in construction contexts. The unit provides critical insight into construction-specific considerations including occupational health and safety requirements, risk management approaches, resource optimisation, and quality planning methodologies. Through evaluation of scope, stakeholders and time planning techniques, students will develop expertise in managing the distinct challenges of construction projects.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Analyse contemporary project management methodologies for planning and managing construction projects;
  2. Assess quality assurance strategies for complex construction project delivery;
  3. Formulate resources required for a complex construction projects; and
  4. Evaluate occupational health and safety requirements and risk management practices in construction environments.
