Overview

This final unit in the sequence on Speech Pathology Assessment Practices focuses on the integration, transfer and adaptation of this knowledge and skills to the speech pathology communication areas. This unit will involve completion of four days of simulated professional practicum under the supervision of speech pathology practice educators. Students will gain the requisite skills that will equip them to accurately record their annual professional development activities for maintenance of Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist status once they enter the profession.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Exhibit developing clinical reasoning and competency in speech pathology assessment;

  3. Apply Communication strategies to guide future development of knowledge and skills related to assessment and intervention goals;
