Overview

The accredited psychology major equips you with a theoretical understanding of a range of psychological topics such as motivation and emotion, biological, cognitive, social, and personality psychology. Analytical, research and statistical skills, and understanding of relationships and communication are also developed through study of this major.

Course professional accreditation is required for graduates as a pathway for further study. The Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) reviews: course content against set criteria; academic staff profiles; administration and technical support. Students completing this major set will also have completed the two pre-requisite foundation units at first year level: APP1012 and APP1013.

Unit set structure

For a major study students must complete 96 credit points consisting of:
