This unit is designed to consolidate students’ undergraduate clinical training and provides the opportunity to integrate and apply discipline-specific knowledge and skills that have been acquired throughout the course as they transition into a career as an exercise scientist.
The theoretical and applied aspects of this unit include a critical reflection of the role, scope and impact of professionals who treat clients (patients) who are apparently healthy or may have a clinical condition, informed both by theoretical and professional knowledge from the disciplines of physiology, biomechanics, motor control, anatomy, psychology, exercise prescription, exercise interventions, ethics and career professional development.
